Watermelon Testifies of Friends
Now for the watermelon part of the title. So my roommate Morgan got a watermelon and when she cut into it, it looked like the pictures below. We were all wondering what happened to the center as well if it was a good watermelon. But it was actually a good watermelon. However, looking at it no one would have guessed that it would have been that good.
On Wednesday, for IWA, Emily and I were in charge of the activity. We invited all the Wednesday chapters of IWA that meets at the institute as well as the Wednesday night men's group. Everyone said that it went better than their expectation. I was a little bit worried but I also thought it went good. Everyone mostly minded the rules of staying silent through this experience and I only had to tell three people to be quite. Everyone started in the same room and then we took 10ish people out of the room, blindfolded them, and lead them into another room that only had 2 lights on and the chairs where not in the normal set up so they had to work their way around them to get to the exit door. When the got to the exit door. One of two people lead them out to the end which was Natalie giving them a paper to write their thoughts on and they went in to the chapel where they sat in the pews. There was a slide show of Christ going on so we told every that their goal was to sit at the feet of the Saviors feet. Everyone was suppose to stay quite. Then Emily got up said her testimony, Sister Simmons said a few words and then we had time for 2 people from the audience to bear their testimony. Then I got up and said my testimony and closed the activity. It went amazingly well. If I was to do this again there would be only 3 or 4 things that I would have done differently, but I am not going to dwell on those things because I was told it went good. And people liked it. Now to end this blog I want to bear my testimony to all of you!
I have a testimony of the Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father sent his son down to earth to open the door for us to get back to Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ was the only one that could have unlocked the gate. I know that if we just do our part through our trials then Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are there for us. They want us to succeed. They also so want us to be happy. I know that Joseph Smith was a man of God and President Monson is the man of God of our day. I know that Heavenly Father loves to hear from us and if we just go to our knees he will answer us even if it is not like we want him too. I also know that going to church and visiting the temple is the closest we can get to being in heaven while being on earth. I know the families can be together forever if we are sealed as a family in the temple and if we continue to do our best. I also know that when we get judged after death that our maker will take our best into how we are judged. I know that family is and are forever. I know that we should be close to our family (both sides). No matter if the family is siblings, parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, or grandparents, we should love them more then friends. However, I know that sometimes friends feel like family members more than actually family and I know that is sad but it is good to have friends to help you get through the hard times. I love my family and friends. My sister and mom are my life time best friends and I hope they know I will do anything for them. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

More Fun
Then Friday night my ward was doing a Indexing party and I decided that since for my calling in the ward is an indexer and last semester I did not go to the party I should go this year. When I got there I was only going to stay from 8 to 9 and then be done but I sat by some night girls and decided to stay longer. In fact I decided to stay till the end which was 2 a.m. The last picture on here is of how the competition ended. The two top teams get free dinner that the two bottom teams get to cook. As you can tell Relief Society 2 beat everyone by a good margin. That is the group that my roommates and I were in. I did 11 of those tallies the time that I was there.
Since this picture is smaller I will tell you what it says. With the whole ward pulling together we did 253 sheets of names. Relief Society One did 54, Elders Quorum One did 69, Relief Society Two (the one I am in) did 93, and Elders Quorum Two did 32 and the Bishopric and wives did 5. Everyone did an amazing job and I had fun and made some new friends. YAY!!! I love this ward!

Home
Saturday, I would have to say was the more crazy. My mom and I left her house at 8 to go to Brittney's cheerleaders competition. Jena (Brittney's friend and fellow couch) made the outfit that Baylee is wearing. It is so dare cute.
The cheerleaders did an amazing job. Good job Hawks!!!
After the competition we all went to Butter-Burrs for lunch. I was so tired that after that I went and took a nap. That evening my mom went to a open house of one of my sister's friends and then her and I went over to the Winters house. I got to see Micheal who is leaving on a mission soon, and meet Julie and Paul's new baby Samuel.
Then Sunday was an amazing day. I went to church with my mom. They had L.Tom Parry in their ward to speak to them about bringing lambs back to the fold and being patient with them. The best of his talk he ask the President of the Decons to go up and stand by him. The young boy looked so nervous but he did an amazing job with what Elder Parry asked of him. I am sure that young boy will never forget that day. During Sacrament Meeting and Sunday School I helped my mom take care of little babies. I enjoyed it so much. Then after Sunday School we went to lunch with my Uncle Cole who was passing through town. We went to Texas Road House with him and my sisters how family.
Then we all went our separate ways. It is so good to see my family and I did not want to go back to Logan. But being back here in Logan I just have to get my mind back into the swing of school so I can graduate in May. I am sure that before I know it I will be headed back to Pocatello to see my family or they will be coming to see me graduate. I love my family.

V-Day
1) my mom- She has been a wonderful mother. I think she is the best! Maybe it is because I am her daughter but it is true. Having to raise my sister and I could not have been easy but she didn't. Through-out my illness she has been there through my tough times and the times that I just wanted to give up and lock myself in my room she was there to tell me "NO". Thanks mom! I love you!
2) my sister- Another person who has been with me through everything I have done. The person I grew up with. The person that we got in to trouble when we would talk at night and then my mom would sneak up to us, the person that we felt each others pain when everyone would tease us about not having a father, and the person that has been my best friend forever. No one has ever had to say I love that sibling better or that sibling is my best friend cause it has been just the two of us. I love you sis!
3) Charlene Bradley- This is a person who has never let me think that I am not good enough. She is the first friend that has gotten married but has continued to stay in contact with me. She is the first best friend that I had when I moved out of my mom's house to go to college. If it wasn't for different blood parents we would defiantly be sisters. I am glad that she lets her daughters call me Aunt Tasha, and lets me say that I have 3 nieces. I love you Char!
4) Extended Family- my aunts, uncles and cousins! I love you and I wish we were closer and showed our love for each other more.
5) My grandparents- I love you both- Grandparents Clark and Grandparents Hill- Thanks for everything you do, do for me.
6) The rest of my friends-You know who you are! I am glad I have you in my life.
Well for all of those who read this I am sorry if it was a lot that you did not want to hear. But it is a day of LOVE after-all. I hope that everyone can show love today in someway that you have never done before. If you have not told someone you love them in a while tell them, if you have held a grudge on someone let them know it is okay even if it is for one day. My IWA advisor read us this story in our presidency meeting on Wednesday and so I have copied it on here as well, Please read it and live it:
THE GREATEST MISSIONARY IN THE WORLD.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
For this is the greatest secret of success in all ventures. Muscle can split a shield and even destroy life but only the unseen power of love can open the hearts of men. I will make love my greatest weapon and none on whom I call can defend against its force.
My reasoning they may counter; my speech they may distrust; my apparel they may disapprove; my face they may reject; and even my message may cause them suspicion; yet my love will melt all hearts liken to the sun whose rays soften the coldest day.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will I do this? Henceforth will I look on all things with love and I will be born again. I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit. I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars. I will welcome happiness for it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul. I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will I speak? I will laud mine enemies and they will become friends; I will encourage my friends and they will become brothers. Always will I dig for reasons to applaud; never will I scratch for excuses to gossip. When I am tempted to criticize I will bite on my tongue; when I am moved to praise I will shout from the roofs.
Is it not so that birds, the wind, the sea and all nature speak with the music of praise for their creator? Cannot I speak with the same music to His children? Henceforth will I remember this secret and it will change my life.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will I act? I will love all manners of men for each has qualities to be admired even though they are hidden. With love I will tear down the wall of suspicion and hate which they have built round their hearts and in its place will I build bridges so that my love may enter their souls.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
But how will I react to the actions of others? With love. For just as love is my weapon to open the hearts of men, love is also my shield to repulse the arrows of hate and the spears of anger. Adversity and discouragement will beat against my new shield and become as the softest of rains.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will I confront each whom I meet? In only one way. In silence and to myself I will address him and say I Love You. Though spoken in silence these words will shine in my eyes, unwrinkle my brow, bring a smile to my lips, and echo in my voice; and his heart will be opened.
I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And I will love myself. For when I do I will zealously inspect all things which enter my body, my mind, my soul, and my heart. Never will I allow my mind to be attracted to evil and despair, rather I will uplift it with the knowledge and wisdom of the ages. Never will I allow my soul to become complacent and satisfied, rather I will feed it with meditation and prayer. Never will I allow my heart to become small and bitter, rather I will share it and it will grow and warm the earth.
I will greet each day with love in my heart.
Henceforth will I love all mankind. From this moment all hate is let from my veins for I have not time to hate, only time to love.
I will greet this day with love, and I will succeed.
